House of Racing officially opened its doors in September 2025, but the idea originated much earlier. During the corona period, when words like lockdown, curfew and 1.5 meters distance determined daily life, founder Kevin Bonke bought his first collapsible racing simulator. In his small apartment in the heart of Nijmegen, thus began the adventure that would eventually grow into House of Racing.
What began as a hobby – sim racing with friends and family – quickly grew into a true passion. Kevin always had a penchant for realistic motorsports and therefore started track riding on his own Yamaha R6 RJ15 (600cc). This bike can now be admired at the House of Racing facility in Roermond. The combination of sim racing at home and real motorsport on the circuit gave rise to an idea: how can you bring that world of virtual and real racing closer together?

Roermond is the perfect place for House of Racing. Since the arrival of the Designer Outlet Center, the city has become a major tourist attraction. Millions of visitors come from all over the world every year, even more than at the Efteling. Yet Roermond is much more than just a shopping town. The rich, burgundian history and the attractive city center make it a place where hospitality and experience come together, exactly what we at House of Racing want to radiate.
Slowly but surely, the idea behind House of Racing took shape. The name really says it all: a house for everyone with a passion for racing and motorsports. A place where experience, community and technology come together. House of Racing is the result of a collaboration between Kevin, Affamé and Sim-Lab. By combining their knowledge and experience, a professional simracing concept was created that is accessible to everyone – from novice driver to experienced racer.
Not far from Roermond is the birthplace of the most famous Dutch racing family: Jos and Max Verstappen. This region can rightly be called the cradle of Dutch racing talent. The road to success for them was
perseverance, passion and hard work, values that are also central to House of Racing.
Racing is by nature an expensive and exclusive sport. House of Racing wants to change that. By combining the world of sim racing with real motorsports experience, everyone gets the chance to showcase their talent. Our dream is for the best sim racers
to eventually move on to a real race car, more efficient, durable and affordable than ever before.
